About the Balinese
Essentially a long-haired Siamese, the Balinese emerged from a spontaneous longhair mutation in Siamese litters, eventually developed into its own recognized breed named for the graceful dancers of Bali despite having no actual connection to Indonesia. Vocal, elegant, and social, Balinese cats share the Siamese's talkative, people-oriented temperament.
