Pet Care, Across Every Mile
PetsBeyondMiles started with a simple problem: most pet care content treats a pet's whole life as one chapter, when a puppy or kitten, a busy adult, and an older pet all need genuinely different guidance — and once a pet parent moves between countries, even good advice gets harder to find.
We write for pet parents navigating their dog or cat through every stage of life, and for a group that rarely gets covered well: pet parents managing that care across the US and India, including NRIs coordinating from a distance. A lot of our readers are juggling both at once — a pet whose needs are changing, and a family split across two countries.
Every article on this site is researched using veterinary and clinical sources before publishing. We don't dose medications, replace a vet visit, or guess at statistics — where we cite a number, we name where it came from. When something is genuinely uncertain, we say so instead of filling the gap with confident-sounding filler.
We cover six areas: dog care, cat care, mobility and joint health, nutrition, vet costs and insurance, and cross-border pet logistics — from a pet's first vet visit through the questions that come up later in life. Cross-border logistics gets particular depth because almost no other pet site addresses it, and it comes up constantly for NRI families managing a pet's care from thousands of miles away.
Who's behind this: PetsBeyondMiles is an independently run site — written and edited by me, Sam, its founder. There's no larger company or network behind it. I'm not a veterinarian and this isn't a veterinary practice; every article is researched against real veterinary and clinical sources, and nothing here replaces an actual vet visit. If you ever spot something that seems off, telling me about it (below) directly improves the site.
